BRISTOL, Wis. – A 21-year-old man was killed Wednesday night in a high-speed motorcycle crash that left a sport utility vehicle engulfed in flames and a county highway shut down for hours.
The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal crash occurred around 8:49 p.m. in the 18400 block of County Highway K (60th Street), near the intersection of CTH D and 184th Avenue in the Village of Bristol. Authorities say the motorcyclist, who was the sole rider on a sport-style bike, was traveling eastbound on Highway K at a high rate of speed when he collided with a westbound pickup truck that was attempting a left turn onto CTH D.
After striking the passenger side of the pickup, the motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and thrown into the windshield of an SUV that had been traveling behind the truck. He became lodged in the windshield and front passenger area of the SUV.The motorcycle, meanwhile, smashed into the front of the SUV and became trapped underneath its engine compartment. Both vehicles caught fire and were quickly engulfed in flames.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office. His name has not yet been released.
Minor injuries were reported for the driver and passenger of the pickup truck, as well as for the SUV driver. All three remained on scene and cooperated with investigators. The Sheriff’s Office noted that intoxication was not suspected for either driver, but speed was a significant factor in the motorcyclist’s operation.
The Kenosha County Major Crash Assistance Team responded to the scene to conduct a detailed reconstruction of the incident. Officials say the investigation remains open.
The Sheriff’s Office extended condolences to the victim’s family and urged motorists to follow posted speed limits and remain distraction-free behind the wheel. Anyone with information is asked to call 262-605-5100.

Gotta be careful folks…..
So, did the westbound pickup turn south in front of the eastbound motorcycle, or was eastbound motorcycle going so fast that pickup thought it had time to turn south?
Take any sport motorcycle and you’re doing a hundred in nothing flat.
But to stop any that speed, controlled, not so easy.
Did the truck see the bike ?
Sure, in the last two seconds.
Bike’s fault. All the way
Sport bike was going too fast. 55 years on 2 wheels, I have seen it too many times…
I’m glad my husband does not speed on the Harley!!
CREEPY OLD MAN: Based on your screen name, it is clear that you haven’t matured much in those 55 years.
NEVER GROW UP
Lol
no one cares, troll
OMG….that is tragic. My heart goes out to the family. So darn sad💔
No sympathy, so many motorcyclists act as if they own the road. I constantly see them speeding, reckless driving and lane splitting, to name a few. And then there is an outcry when they crash and dies. So sad, right? 🤣
I don’t think there’s much of a question that motorcycles going way over the speed limit can create dangerous situations. In this case, the cyclist put two other cars with people/families in danger. There is a thoughtlessness in taking chances like this.
But even as I absolutely have a high confidence that the cyclist is most likely at fault, I can’t go as far to say I have no sympathy. Surely there is a cadre of people out there who have never made any mistakes in their life, I read about how they are perfect all the time. Sadly I have made mistakes in my life and have been lucky by the grace of God to have avoided tragedy. It is true, if the cyclist hadn’t broken the law, they would most likely be alive. Remember that when you’re driving and go through a late yellow, take a glance of your cellphone, change lanes without looking, etc, something a LOT of people have done in their life. It could be one of these lesser infraction that would also result in tragedy.
I know, it’s not the same thing. And don’t get me wrong, I said very similar things in my life, I am in no way saying I’m better than anyone. A very human reaction is to say the cyclist deserved it. Maybe it’s my 54 years on this earth that has mellowed me. I just ask you to humbly consider that a human being died and that person might have been a decent person who just made a stupid, reckless decision.
To “No Sympathy “ Such a heartless thing to say.Regardless… this young man was somebody’s son, brother and loved one. From your lips to Gods ear, I pray you don’t experience a tragedy like this amd someone makes an assine comment about.
100% if he wasn’t breaking the law he would still be alive today.
I have empathy for the teenage family and he was doing something stupid. At the same time, he could have killed someone. Since he DIDN’T( thankfully), and just killed himself for his stupidity, there just isn’t as much sympathy. Kids seem like they are invincible sometimes!
The motorcyclist had no regard for his life or the lives of others. Another vote for no sympathy.
