According to court documents filed in Kenosha Circuit Court last Thursday, Kerry Poltrock, a Kenosha fire-fighter, is accused of many incidents of domestic violence spanning several months. The victim is his soon-to-be ex wife, referred to as “C.P.”
In the 6-count charging document, Poltrock is alleged to have:
2/5/2020 “grabbed her by the neck, applied pressure causing pain”
3/1/2020 “pinned her down on the bed and struck her in the face”
5/6/2020 “forcefully pulled her into their bedroom causing her to fall and strike her left elbow on the floor”
“She also described other incidents of arguing and domestic violence involving Kerry that had occurred over the past year. She stated that Kerry has made comments that it is normal for men to slap their wives and no one would believe her or they would think she is crazy”
The complaint also says that “During a restraining order hearing on July 6, 2020, Kerry Poltrock admitted to slapping C.P.”
Kerry is barred from having contact with his wife for the next 4 years as an order of protection was signed by a court commissioners. It is unknown why his lawyer allowed him to testify at that hearing when criminal charges were imminent.
Below is the criminal complaint and an audio snippet where he admits to some of the violence.
