KENOSHA, Wis. — A 59-year-old Illinois man accused of participating in an elaborate contractor ruse that ended with approximately $30,000 disappearing from a Kenosha home is free on $5,000 cash bail. Charlie P. White, 59, was charged September 4 with felony burglary of a building or dwelling after prosecutors alleged he was connected to a June 2025 distraction burglary at a Kenosha home. Judge Heather Iverson initially issued a $5,000 arrest warrant for White. White posted $5,000 cash on September 14, the warrant was canceled, and Court Commissioner Daniel E. Kellum formally continued the $5,000 cash bail during White’s September 24 initial appearance.
