An 89-year-old women passed away on December 19, 2022 at a Kenosha assisted living and memory care facility called Parkside Manor. According to a source within the facility, felons are allowed to work as aids. The aid in particular who was supposed to check on the elderly woman, did not check on her in time and she passed away.

KCE contacted Kenosha police who did not respond to our inquiry. KCE also reached out to senior management at the facility that decided not to comment.

According to our source, management within the facility was reluctant to call the police when the woman could not be found, but later changed their mind.

It literally says this is a breaking story.
The author provide better information on things our government and local media ignore. A small effort like looking up an address shouldn’t be a problem…
They are a lot more detailed and in depth than anybody else’s reporting in the SE corner of Wisconsin. A few typos and misspellings, I can deal with. There are at least two employees of the facility being investigated for possible criminal charges of neglect. You don’t think the community deserves to know that?
Those facilities are very under staffed, especially at night. Very sad for the family.
Not all felons are bad people… his status really didn’t need to be mentioned in this article. She did not die because he was a felon, she died because she was neglected ?
An unfortunate tragedy.
This resident got out through the memory care doors which have alarms. The alarms have said to be going off for over an hour and a half. No one did a head count, no one made sure all the residents were in the building, and this woman was not found until 745am, that is after the first shift came in. There are more than just two people at fault. The whole administration is at fault. How can you pull into the building, and not see a woman laying outside? There are also cameras around the outside of the building! I sure hope they investigate deep. Falls are not being reported at the facility, new bruises on residents that can’t be explained. Employees sleeping during third shift or leaving the building, employees neglecting the residents, it is just horrible.
My mom resides there. She’s been hospitalized 5 times in the past 2 months due to neglect. I have pictures of her skin to prove it. Terrible facility. Get your loved ones out now !!!
