I will be in the courtroom for the duration of the political prosecution of Kyle Rittenhouse. Since the trial is streaming on millions of devices around the world, I won’t bore my readers with the same reporting that will be done by countless news agencies. The Kenosha News is putting out articles from the associated press even though they have a full-time assigned seat inside the courtroom. Maybe for once the Kenosha News editor doesn’t want Deneen Smith’s extreme left slant on the coverage of this case. What I will do, however, is point out things that those who are not intimate with this community, and even and some who are, do not know.
Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian (D)
Kenosha Mayor John Antaramain has been mayor since 2016 and was elected in 2020 for his sixth term until 2024. He also served as mayor from 1992 to 2008. After this term, he will have been mayor for 24 years. Many sources have told us he will not be seeking a seventh term because of the immense backlash from the Kenosha Riots of 2020. Most Kenosha residents view his response as very poor – he is the chief executive of the city, including the police department. We didn’t hear from him. He didn’t lead. Many joke that he was hiding in his basement. Some tell us he was hiding in Lake Geneva. We don’t know for sure – he wont tell us. John has a lot at stake in the Rittenhouse trial. He wants Kyle convicted. He wants Kyle to take the blame and distract us from his failures as our leader. Lucky for John, he has a lot of powerful family members in charge here in Kenosha. First off, the lead detective in this case is Benjamin Antaramian, his nephew. Benjamin wants Kyle convicted. Benjamin was very thirsty to connect Kyle Rittenhouse to the “Kenosha Guard” Facebook page. He grilled Dominic Black about if they had seen the page or not. They desperately wanted to connect the two. They could not. Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook told this to the public twice, once on a Facebook Q and A and again in front of the U.S. Senate. This is a common myth that is repeated by the media and naive folks. Kyle came to Kenosha of his own accord on the 25th – to volunteer removing graffiti. Law enforcement at the federal level, Facebook, and other forensic reviews have determined there was no such connection. The “Kenosha Guard” was simply a plea for help when our local leaders like John the Mayor and Tony the Governor would not help. Benjamin will be sitting at the prosecutor’s table for every day of the trial. Today, he held up the rifles that were carried by Rittenhouse and Black, Kyle’s friend. The mayor’s cousin is the Kenosha City Attorney, Ed Antaramian (D). His nephew is the Kenosha City Judge Michael Easton (D). His other nephew is Thaddeus (Tip) McGuire (D), State Representative. His other cousin is Laura Belsky (D) County Board Supervisor.
During the remainder of this trial, remember, the mayor who let Kenosha burn has a surrogate in the court room – at the prosecutor’s table, actually.
Kyle is “David” and the State of Wisconsin, with all of their resources is “Goliath.” The only thing that gives Kyle a fair and likely shot to win is the generosity of strangers that donated money to his defense. He now has a team of three sharp attorneys – among the best in the business. It’s now a fair fight.
BLM Sympathizer Kenosha DA Mike Graveley, like his predecessor, Robert Zapf, loves the limelight and always prosecutes the high profile cases. Not this one. Mike knows the state cannot win. That’s why he’s leaving it to T. Clair. Let’s see what T. Clair’s excuse will be if he loses.

Thank you for publishing this article. People in our community need to know about the incestuous power structure that runs this town. The corruption in Kenosha is generational. Any rising leader who has the potential to challenge this cabal is neutered in exchange for crumbs off the table. This city is run like an organized crime organization with unlimited taxpayer resources.

This cronyism happens everywhere and is even worse other places. But I agree it’s the citizens who are ultimately supposed to oversee the gov and hold them to account.
I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, the standard for political corruption. It’s so easy for criminals to run towns of that size. Look at it now….poverty hell on earth, bullets everywhere. Everyone who hasn’t left yet will just die off and there will be nothing left but a big scar on the land.

Wow – great piece. All freaking politics are ultimately local and local officials will circle the wagons for their own. In this case, it’s not just local hacks – it’s also family! Conservatives “back the blue”, but what we should back is the rule of law that no one is above. I don’t love cops. I don’t hate cops. I don’t idolize or denigrate them. I defend them when they are right and want them held accountable when they are wrong. With skepticism, I respect the positions they have because of the force of law they can bring against me. Unfortunately, there are too many cops who discourage citizens from ensuring that can effectively defend themselves because they see themselves as the experts and don’t want anyone on their turf. Maybe that’s the case with this cop or maybe he’s just a hack circling the wagons, but either way, it’s pretty sickening what they are doing.
Wow, sounds a lot like my town & every other one I grew up in! These are the SOCIALIST pillars cities are built on. Once power is seized by one they get the three foot vision. They can’t see past their greedy needs so they spend their social capital close to home. It’s the 2nd Law of Socialism. Concentrate power to a close few then their indebted. 1st Law is pay every one the same & production drops immediately. No work ethic. Kenosha news isn’t relevant. Can’t believe they even try to stay afloat. They are hoping and praying for riots Just as all the other media outlets. I haven’t seen many of the “activists” out at the court house as they promised. Must be because the media is mainly indoors and not focused on them.
It’s hard for me to believe that Antaramian even shows his face in public. He let the city that he supposedly loves , burn to the ground. He personally told our police to stand down on the night in question. The 3 men who were shot , were paid arsonists, all with criminal records. In light of the prosecutions “bombshell” FBI aircraft footage. Did John Antaramian know of the FBI’s footage? Was the Mayor working with the FBI while Kenosha being destroyed? Did the FBI have “assets” amongst the rioters?
Maybe that’s why he’s so quiet.
Maybe the FBI has Antaramian under investigation and didn’t want to tip him off in any way. Over here in Los Angeles, we’ve watched one City Councilman be arrested and others put in the hot seat for funny property dealings with Chinese investors. Similar kind of investigation in SF…maybe the FBI has been on this nationwide for a while now.

This…. Seems like a huge conflict of interest and like it would further justify this being malicious prosecution? A direct relative being the lead on the case AND at the prosecutor’s table seems like a massive conflict of interest / ethics violation.

Thanks for doing this story with a deeper dive into the folks that apparently want to railroad Kyle Rittenhouse. The evidence shows he did everything out of self defence, and what I saw of the footage, Kyle took every precaution and amazingly he targeted only the very people that came after him, trying to harm him or his friends and to protect the business he was there to protect. He only shot when necessary and had excellent control of himself and his firearm.
I fear Kyle will be railroaded, even though it is a clear, cut & dry case of self-defense. The video of him on the ground with a skateboard coming at his head, the rioter coming up behind him, playing like he’s innocent, hiding his gun…there’s not a lot of people I know that would have kept their wits like Kyle did.
I fear this is more a persecution than a prosecution!

As a former prosecutor, I have often wondered why and how Kenosha forces are so intent on ignoring the obvious and copious evidence of Rittenhouse’ defense of self-defense while being attacked captured graphically on video. The evidence of his legal innocence could not be more stark. This article puts it in context of a corrupt little town. We have to wonder if the jury is composed of people in thrall of the ruling cabal. We all know what gross injustices can happen at the hands of juries. Most of us were alive during OJ’s Murder trial fiasco.

I saw a video of a business owner in that town that got brutally beaten. He was unarmed and it seemed he was laying on the ground lifeless as 10 or more people of the mob kept on beating him.
