Kenosha, Wis. – A Racine man is being held on a $2,500 cash bail after being charged with Knowingly Operating While Suspended (Causing Great Bodily Harm), a felony that could result in a prison sentence of up to three and a half years if convicted.

Timothy L. Landry, 22, is accused of driving without a valid license and being involved in a vehicle-versus-motorcycle collision that nearly claimed the life of Antony Rivera-Valle. The crash occurred on March 9, 2025, at the intersection of 52nd Street and 25th Avenue in Kenosha.
Emergency responders were called to the scene after a witness reported that the motorcyclist was bleeding profusely from his neck. Rivera-Valle was airlifted to a Milwaukee hospital, where he remained in serious condition but is expected to survive.

Details from the Criminal Complaint
According to the Kenosha Police Department’s report, Officer Cox arrived at the crash site and identified Landry as the driver of a blue Chevrolet Equinox. Landry admitted that his license was suspended due to unpaid traffic citations and acknowledged that he was aware of the suspension at the time of the accident.
Landry stated that he was driving his grandparents’ vehicle westbound on 52nd Street when he attempted to make a left turn onto 25th Avenue. As he executed the turn, he heard a loud impact and then noticed a motorcycle lying in the intersection, with its rider gravely injured nearby.
Several witnesses provided accounts of the crash. “Jessica Alvarez,” a roofing worker who was on top of a building at 2500 52nd Street, reported seeing the motorcyclist attempt to beat the Equinox through the intersection before colliding with the vehicle. Another witness, “Carlos Ramirez,” who was driving behind the motorcycle, stated that the motorcycle had been traveling at a reasonable speed when the SUV turned in front of it, causing the collision.
“Emily Carter,” an employee at Shenanigans bar near the intersection, heard the crash and rushed outside to assist. She observed the motorcyclist lying on the ground with severe head and neck injuries. She used her sweatshirt to apply pressure to his wounds until paramedics arrived.
Rivera-Valle’s father-in-law, “Robert Diaz,” identified him at the scene. At the hospital, Officer Lehman noted that Rivera-Valle had been intubated and was suffering from a head injury, a left arm injury, and possibly fractured ribs. His face was swollen, and nurses were actively suctioning blood from his airway.
Wisconsin Department of Transportation records indicate that Landry’s license was suspended on April 18, 2024, for failure to pay forfeiture. He was not eligible for reinstatement until April 17, 2025. A suspension notice had been mailed to him on April 19, 2024.

Court Proceedings and Charges
During his court appearance, Assistant District Attorney Zach Brost emphasized Landry’s prior traffic infractions and the severity of the crash, stating, “This is a situation where there’s a crash with a serious injury that required Flight for Life transport. Mr. Landry should not have been operating a motor vehicle at the time.” Brost recommended a $2,500 cash bond with conditions that Landry not operate a vehicle without a license and have no contact with Rivera-Valle.
Kenosha County Circuit Court Commissioner William Michel II agreed and set Landry’s bail at $2,500. Landry is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing on March 14, 2025, at 9:15 a.m.
The case remains under investigation, and further details may emerge as legal proceedings continue.

That is a very low bond considering the charges.
It’s $2,500 in cash!! If he doesn’t have the money to pay his traffic violations, it’s likely he doesn’t have that much cash to pay his bail!!
This does not seem that unusual, people without a license or suspended license drive all the time.
This guy did not try and flee the scene, did he? If all he did was turn left in front of a motorcycle in someone else’s car without a valid license, not sure why he needs a bond at all?
OAR = fine of 2,500 & 1 year in county jail. He violated the law. A $2,500 bond is ridiculously low. He’ll be driving again as soon as he makes bond. You might change your mind if next time he chooses to hit you instead.

If the person whose license was revoked had not been driving, the accident would never have happened. He was not supposed to be in a vehicle, and there wouldn’t have been any collision. That’s the law, not me.
He broke the law by driving without a license. He just about killed a guy turning in front of him. Anybody that does that should be charged with attempted manslaughter! I’d hope they’d throw the book at him but here in good old liberal Kenosha, nope! Slap on the wrist!! The grandparents should be charged also, letting him drive their vehicle without a license. Praying the motorcyclist isn’t left with lifelong pain and PTSD.

He shouldn’t have been on the road and seriously hurt someone. Should we just give home a slap on the wrist and say just don’t do it again? There has to be some consequences for people’s actions. Can’t pay a bond, go to jail. Consequences. He’s been driving without a license for almost a year without getting caught. I hope he stays in jail for awhile and thinks about what harm he has caused for someone else. If the guy( who they say looks like he will recover), takes a turn for the worst, and dies, that will be a whole new charge. Kids seem to feel untouchable these days and don’t care, kind-of an “eh” attitude. Sure, he obviously can’t afford 2500, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have money to pay for his previous tickets prior to his license being suspended. Are we supposed to not give him a bond just because he can’t afford it? I’m not sure about this situation, but from what I understand, bonds are based on the things of value you might own. I think the bond is too low for such carelessness on his part, but obviously he doesn’t have a lot of valuables which seems like the reason for the low bond amount. The actions to me, on the other hand constitutes for a much higher bond.

The motorcyclist was reported performing wheelies and driving down a residential street at 70 mph prior to the accident without a license and insurance, along with, a long wrap sheet of past charges. He should be fined and have charges pending against him for causing the incident. Thank God the other vehicle passenger didn’t get injured as well due to the motorcyclist recklessness and negligence. It also, was witnessed that Landry took his shirt off to save the motorcyclist. All factors should be addressed.
