SOMERS, Wis. — Tammy Jo Rose, a courtroom bailiff for Kenosha County Circuit Court Judge Chad Kerkman (D), has been charged with felony identity theft in connection with a May 24 incident at the Sherwin-Williams store in Pleasant Prairie.
Rose, 44, was once publicly praised as a foster mother and featured multiple times in favorable Kenosha News coverage. But according to a criminal complaint filed Monday, she is accused of using the business account of a 47-year-old man, her ex-boyfriend and owner of a local construction company, to make more than $280 in unauthorized purchases.
The complaint alleges store surveillance shows a woman matching Rose’s description arriving in a blue Maserati, entering the store, and leaving with merchandise charged to the account. A subsequent license plate search tied the car to Rose. The invoice was signed “TAMMY EROSE.”
The man told police Rose never had permission to use the account and that their relationship ended in 2023 over her alleged alcohol and drug use. He also told investigators that Rose had falsely accused him of rape — one of several men she has allegedly made false rape claims against over the years.
Rose is scheduled to make her initial appearance on Sept. 1. She faces up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.

Rose has a history of personal controversies. Last year, a woman accused Rose of sleeping with her husband and harassing her. She subsequently got a temporary restraining order against Rose. Rose is also linked to a fake Facebook account under the name “Angie Cooper.”

Kenosha County Eye previously confirmed with the clerk of courts that Judge Kerkman, widely regarded as having the shortest temper on the bench, personally selected Rose to be his bailiff. Kerkman did not respond to questions about her case or whether he would recuse himself.
Rose’s social life has also drawn attention, including her participation in group sexual activity with friend Jacqueline Niccolai, a therapist with a history of drug use.

Don’t involve a third party.
Stupid move. $280. for someone who obviously could just pay for it.
Stupid Stupid people.
Make her pay it back and fire her forever from a job that requires honesty and respect.
Stupid
I missed Tammy Rose’s time on the pole.
Was she any good?
I mean, ya can’t make this stuff up. Kenosha county…… we gotta do better
Let Kerkman keep an eye on her.
Oh i’m sure he will.
Wow – the saga gets longer …..let’s see how the therapist tries to spin this for her buddy.
Are those 2 still friends?
Lick, lick, lickadee!
Drives a Maserati…just pay with cash.
They say I’m crazy, but I have a good time
I’m just looking for clues at the scene of the crime
Life’s been good to me so far
Has a lot of boyfriends !
I’m really not seeing a problem here.
Other than it’s considered a felony for $280. dollars ?
Seems a little low to me.
Sex, drugs and paint rollers.
Great combinations.
They’re desperate for baliffs. Maybe they should pay more than 10 bucks an hour.
Retirees with sufficient financial means looking for meaningful daily activity are a very good quality resource for bailiff positions.
Not sure what to make of this. Our new DA seems to have time to charge a lot of cases that maybe should be settled out of court.
Is her mother’s name Norma and dad was Richard? If this is the same Tammy Rose, her entire family is nothing but low life dead beats.
