KENOSHA, Wis. – A 17-year-old Kenosha man is facing serious charges after police say he repeatedly sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl over the course of several weeks this summer.
Jesus G. Pascual, of the 7000 block of 40th Avenue, appeared in court today and was charged with one count of repeated sexual assault of the same child, a Class C felony punishable by up to 40 years in prison and a $100,000 fine. Court Commissioner William Michel II ordered $100,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 20.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim’s grandfather contacted police on July 10 after learning his granddaughter had been sneaking out at night to meet with a 17-year-old boy. Investigators say the girl disclosed multiple assaults, some at her home and others at Pascual’s residence. She told officers that Pascual initiated sexual contact on several occasions without her consent, often after telling her they would “just hang out.”
The complaint alleges that Pascual sent explicit images to the girl via Snapchat, engaged in sexual intercourse with her eight times, and provided her with a Plan B pill. Detectives say Pascual admitted to sexual activity with the girl but claimed she told him she was older.
If convicted, Pascual faces a maximum of 40 years in prison.
