KENOSHA, Wis. – The Kenosha community is grieving the devastating loss of Addison “Addi” McBride, a vibrant and beloved 15-year-old girl who passed away unexpectedly on Monday. Addi was preparing to begin her sophomore year at Tremper High School, having attended KTEC through 8th grade. She was known for her sweet nature, kind heart, and uplifting spirit.

Her father, Dan McBride, named her “Addison” after the address of Wrigley Field—1060 W. Addison Street in Chicago—a heartfelt nod to his love of the Cubs and to the joy he anticipated she would bring into the world. And bring joy she did. Addi lit up every room she entered and left a lasting impression on classmates, teachers, and friends alike.

One of her classmates, who remained close with Addi throughout their years at KTEC and into high school, described her as “the kindest, most genuine person you’d ever meet.”
A visitation and service for Addi will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue in Kenosha. The service will begin at 8:00 p.m.
As the McBride family faces the unimaginable pain of losing their only child, they are also enduring significant financial hardship related to the tragedy. Friends of the family have launched a fundraising effort to help ease that burden and allow Dan and Kristy McBride to grieve without the added stress of funeral and related expenses.
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, or mourning or crying or pain.” – Revelation 21:4
A GoFundMe has been created in Addi’s honor. Those who wish to help the family during this difficult time can contribute by visiting the fundraiser and sharing it with others.
Addi’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and the community is encouraged to come together with generosity and love in her honor.
