SOMERS, Wis. — A 22-year-old Racine man is facing a felony charge after authorities say he led police on a high-speed chase that reached 125 miles per hour through Somers and Mount Pleasant late last month.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Kenosha County Circuit Court, Victavian Ezekiel Thomas was driving a black Chevrolet Corvette on the night of September 30 when Kenosha County sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop him in the 700 block of Highway 32. Deputy Conlon activated his lights and sirens, but Thomas allegedly refused to pull over, continuing to speed northbound. The deputy said he reached speeds up to 125 mph before ending the 1.6-mile pursuit due to safety concerns.
Mount Pleasant police later told deputies that they had also chased the same Corvette earlier that night after it sped away from an attempted traffic stop. Surveillance footage from Fine Fare Foods showed Thomas behind the wheel, and officers matched his appearance to images from his social media accounts. The Corvette’s temporary plate was also registered to Thomas.
An arrest warrant was issued on October 3 by Court Commissioner William Michel in the amount of $20,000 cash. Thomas was brought to Kenosha on Tuesday for his initial appearance, where bail was continued at $20,000 cash. He was then transferred to another correctional facility. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 30 in Kenosha County Circuit Court.
Thomas is charged with one count of felony fleeing or eluding an officer, a Class H felony punishable by up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine. If convicted, his driver’s license would also be revoked for six months.

Always wondered what Buckwheat was doing these days
Curious to know what year of Vette this thug was driving. They don’t usually stock them at JD byrider.
As I said before, whare do you think he was working? What does his employer think of this? Open records request will be a good read.
Surely a deep dive into your life would be quite interesting… Day after day with nothing to do but dig up dirt on people and then commenting on it. Absolutely fascinating. Bet your a lot of fun at parties!
Was the Corvette stolen ?
no
There has not been a post yet regarding the high-speed chase on Sheridan Road on Saturday that struck utility pole. Flight for life transferred the driver. Interested on what’s happening.
