KENOSHA, Wis. — A Bradford High School basketball coach who had been disciplined multiple times for inappropriate conduct involving students was finally terminated after a third violation, a case that also triggered a police investigation into potential grooming behavior.

I bet he will say its not his fault but if you messed up once and given a chance then you go and do it two more times who fault is it. Monty was a nice guy, smiled a lot, got along with the students a lot, almost dressed like students, and most students liked him. And there lies the problem, if we bring back the old school way of things, staff and student conducting themselves more proper fashion, there wouldn’t be this blurred line of unprofessionalism, and therefore less scandals.
If the rules were stronger and ENFORCED, a hint of unprofessionalism or rudeness would be nipped in the bud and students punished and staff terminated. But no, society has to be soft of everybody, therefore, students can be heathens with out being properly rectified and staff can be degenerate pigs in sheep’s clothing.
A school in Illinois had a police investigation and released a teacher who wore a shirt and tie every day, ran for state senate as the leader of a local Republican Party, and looked/acted professional outwardly.
Boundaries with students are non-negotiable.
And I know unions protect some people, but if administrators created a proper paper trail, they couldn’t.
Oh yeah, not just clothes but to conduct your words and actions in a professional way. That’s what matters most.
Time to clean out some of the unprofessional special Ed staff next.
