TWIN LAKES, Wis. — Brandyn R. Hall, 35, of Chicago, was formally charged Friday with killing his girlfriend, Amber K. Montana, 37, also of Chicago, inside their Twin Lakes apartment while their 11-month-old son was nearby. Hall appeared Friday afternoon before Court Commissioner William “Bargain Bail Billy” Michel II. Kenosha County District Attorney Xavier Solis asked the court to raise Hall’s bail to $3 million cash, but Michel kept Hall’s cash bail at $2 million. Hall is due back in court on April 14 for a preliminary hearing.
