KENOSHA, Wis. — Residents looking to safely dispose of sensitive documents will have an opportunity next month when the City of Kenosha hosts a free community shredding event at three locations across the city.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following locations: the Northside Library, 1500 27th Ave.; the Southwest Library, 7979 38th Ave.; and the Kenosha Water Utility, 4401 Green Bay Road. Hard drive destruction services will also be available at the Kenosha Water Utility location.
City officials say Kenosha residents may bring up to five bags or boxes of documents to be shredded onsite by representatives from Shred-It. The event is intended to help residents securely dispose of personal and confidential records while reducing the risk of identity theft.
The city also announced one remaining shredding date later this year. A second free shredding event is planned for Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, at the Northside Library, the Kenosha Water Utility, and a new south-side location at the Kenosha Emerging Leaders Academy, 2222 63rd St.
