KENOSHA, Wis. — A veteran lieutenant with the Kenosha County Sheriff's Office has been placed on administrative leave while the agency conducts an internal investigation, according to the department's second-in-command.

He is a good, honest person, but his greatest weakness is his tendency to shield his subordinates when they do wrong. Leadership requires not only integrity, but also the willingness to hold others accountable and exercise appropriate control.
Honest people don’t shield wrongdoers.
