KENOSHA, Wis. — A 36-year-old Kenosha man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on Sheridan Road at around 8:20 p.m. Thursday, and police were searching for another driver who witnesses said may have been involved and fled the scene..
The crash occurred in the 7800 block of Sheridan Road, also known as State Highway 32. According to Kenosha Police Department scanner traffic, dispatchers initially advised officers of a traffic collision involving a motorcycle with the extent of the injuries unknown. Moments later, an officer at the scene requested that the ambulance “step it up,” reporting a person down with possible agonal breathing and heavy bleeding from the head.

A Kenosha County Eye photographer, BC, was nearby and responded to the scene. Photographs taken by BC depict a man on the ground in what appeared to be very serious condition as police, firefighters and paramedics worked at the scene.
Police quickly shut down Sheridan Road in the area. Scanner traffic indicated officers were blocking northbound traffic near 79th Street while emergency crews tended to the injured motorcyclist.
Initial radio traffic suggested police believed the crash may have involved only the motorcycle. That changed as officers began speaking with witnesses.
According to scanner traffic, witnesses told police there may have been another vehicle involved, described as a dark-colored truck, possibly a Ford, equipped with a ladder rack. Police were advised that the truck may have sustained rear-end damage after the motorcycle struck it and that the driver allegedly left the scene heading northbound.

The severity of the crash prompted police to request officers secure a landing zone at the Kenosha County Job Center in connection with the accident, according to radio traffic.
At the time of publication, according to scanner traffic, Kenosha police were still looking for the driver of the vehicle believed to have been involved in the crash.
The identity and current condition of the injured motorcyclist were not immediately available. Kenosha County Eye will update this story as additional information becomes available.

So the bike rammed into the back of the truck? No reason the truck driver failed to notice that. Turn yourself in.
I hate to say it , but if the motorcycle rear ended the truck , he was probably intoxicated…
Quick to assume but did you ever think that the truck turned out from a side street infront of the motorcycle or switched lanes without looking and hit the motorcycle. Does everyone really believe its always the motorcycle and never the cars fault? I ride alot and 90% of cars that I go by are distracted driving on their phones. I got hit last year by a woman that was on her phone when she crossed a solid line last second to cut me off in a turn only lane. Trust me when I say its not always the motorcycles fault.
One of the reasons my husband doesn’t ride a motorcycle anymore. To many people driving while looking at their phones!!!!
Motorcyclists always say it’s everyone else’s fault.
With the way cyclists drive, nothing surprises me.
Just today on Hy 50, another one driving between two vehicles in the right two lanes swiped the right one with his right leg and damn near got rolled over by the left vehicle. Then he careened to the far left lane and promptly stopped his bike there, almost killing himself again. THEN he drops the stand and runs across all lanes to the vehicle he hit, almost getting hit AGAIN.
Retards, I’ve lost sympathy for cyclists. If they want it back, they need to step on the turds giving them all a bad rap.
If you’re on a motorcycle if ANYTHING happens to you it’s on you. Always. 100%. You better ride that thing thinking everything out here is potential death. Sure, you can always blame it on something else but you’re still dead or in a wheel chair. But you were in the right. Sure.

You’re not wrong. I rode for 40 years. So many close calls that if I had not been paying attention could have killed me. 2 accidents in that time, both rear ended while stopped at a stop sign. Saw both coming and almost got out of the way both times preventing more than just a minor fender ding and busted tail light. If I had not been watching one for sure would have seriously hurt me. You have to assume every car is either a drunk driver or on their phone and pay attention at all times or you will eventually get hit.
