KENOSHA, Wis. — Juan R. Reyes Moreno, 28, of Kenosha, received probation and 270 days of work release Friday from liberal Evers-appointed Kenosha County Circuit Judge David Hughes (D) in two felony cases involving a violent beating and a drunk-driving crash that seriously injured a woman while he was out on bail. The remarkably lenient outcome followed a plea agreement that dismissed eight of his 11 charges, including burglary, felony injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle and two felony bail jumping counts.
