KENOSHA, Wis. — An 18-year-old Kenosha man accused of brutally beating, repeatedly strangling and stabbing his girlfriend in the head with a large kitchen knife is now charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide after Kenosha County District Attorney Xavier Solis personally reviewed the evidence and upgraded the original charge. Anthony R. Garcia, 18, of Kenosha, appeared in court Wednesday, November 4, before Kenosha County Court Commissioner Daniel “Catch & Release” Kellum, who set his bail at $500,000 cash. Garcia faces five felony charges and two misdemeanors stemming from the alleged hours-long domestic abuse attack.
