At approximately 5:42 a.m., detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in the 37000 block of 52nd Street in Kenosha County. Investigators seized several electronic devices from the residence as part of their investigation into alleged child sexual abuse material, commonly referred to as CSAM.
The investigation began with a referral from the Racine County Sheriff’s Office on October 27, 2026. Just eight days later, Kenosha County detectives executed the search warrant and took Johnson into custody.

Johnson serves as superintendent of Union Grove High School, a position that places him in a leadership role overseeing the education of high school students. His arrest comes amid allegations involving the possession of sexually exploitative images of children.

According to Kenosha County Jail records, Johnson was booked at 7:21 a.m. and remained listed in pretrial custody as of 11:31 a.m. Wednesday. The jail’s online records listed his total bail amount as $0, although that does not establish whether a court has made a bail determination.
Kenosha County Sheriff David Zoerner issued a statement Wednesday emphasizing the seriousness of allegations involving the sexual exploitation of children.
“The protection of children is one of the most serious responsibilities of law enforcement. Allegations involving the sexual exploitation of children demand a thorough, deliberate, and impartial investigation. Our detectives will continue to follow the evidence wherever it leads, and we will work closely with the District Attorney’s Office to ensure this matter is addressed through the appropriate legal process. Anyone who exploits children must be held accountable under the law,” Zoerner said.
The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the investigation remains active. Authorities have not disclosed what was allegedly discovered on the electronic devices, whether any students were involved, or whether additional arrests are anticipated.
As of Wednesday morning, the Sheriff’s Office had submitted two proposed felony charges to prosecutors, but formal criminal charges had not been confirmed in the information released. The Sheriff’s Office said no further information would be released at this time.
