County Executive James Kreuser (D) and Human Resources Director Clara Tappa (D)

County Exec Jim Kreuser’s administration enacted a very strict Covid-19 policy that has some county employees feeling unjustly punished. The policy, which took effect On April 12, 2021 was announce by Kreuser’s HR Director on April 5, 2021 via an email that went to all employees. This email was shared with the Kenosha County Eye today. The policy will be in effect “until further notice.”

This policy is only enforced for County employees who have not been fully vaccinated for two weeks. If you chose not to get vaccinated, and chose to travel up north to your family cabin, for example, or attend a wedding, you have to follow this very strict set of rules. If you travel short distances, even within the state, you must get tested 3-5 days after your trip and stay home and self-quarantine for a full 7 days afterwards. If you chose not to get tested, you have to self-quarantine for 10 days. The more employees that travel, the more employees that will be calling in sick to work, even if they have no symptoms. This will increase overtime pay and cost a hefty amount of tax-payer cash.

This new policy doesn’t let employees know if they will be paid during their time off. Also, it doesn’t address folks that have already had Covid, and thus, are immune. We spoke to several county employees who feel like this is the government forcing them to take the vaccine in order to visit family or travel short distances for recreation. This comes on the heels of one of the three available vaccines being “paused” in much of the world due to adverse effects. This policy applies to all county employees including all of the Sheriff’s department.

The emails concludes with “This travel protocol is important for us to continue along our positive trajectory of a return to normal”

The HR director, Clara Tappa prominently singed her email like she always does, with (She, her, hers). She is a biological woman, and looks like a woman, but wants everyone to be absolutely sure that she is 100% woke.

Let’s hope the hard-working county employees and Sheriff’s deputies aren’t deterred by this punitive policy and still consider traveling to see family and friends. They deserve a break. We all do.

Carli McNeill’s Trial Record Examined – Abysmal At Best

Kenosha County Eye has heard from many defense attorneys that Carli McNeill (D) is a terrible trial prosecutor. She’s lost many serious cases at trial in front of a jury. In contrast to McNeill, Michael Graveley (D), the current DA, told KCE that he can only recall losing once or twice in his career, which is nearly three times longer than McNeill’s. Graveley is, objectively, a skilled trial prosecutor. He commands the courtroom and knows how

  1. Coercion to get an experimental vaccine is in direct violation of the Nuremberg Code. These people need to be removed from office and the County should be sued for enacting illegal protocols.

    1. Who do these people think they are to edict that a vaccine that is not FDA approved be mandated for use by all Kenosha County employees. I am a proponent of the vaccine but this is a strong arm approach that is totally unacceptable. These people need to be relieved of their position due to a total overstep of their authority. As a citizen I find this overstep of authority unacceptable in a free society. I am interested in who these two people report to since this needs to be taken up with both of their supervisors.

  2. Andy berg and joe cardnilli said it’s all safe and they are the Kenosha activist and community leaders. So I trust their advice. (Sarcasm).

  3. Since taking over HR for the County, (She, Her, Her’s) has been nothing more than a dictator. She has made the County a rotten place to be an employee. From what I have seen and heard from friends, I would not recommend anyone applying for any County job as long as (She, Her, Her’s) is the HR Director. If this email is an example of what it like to work for the County under (She, Her, Her’s) direction. Why would anyone want to be an employee. (She, Her, Her’s) needs to go, otherwise the County is going to lose out on valued existing employees leaving and losing out on qualified applicants.

  4. What’s the update with this HR director? She was on the hot seat a few times during county board meetings. During a committee meeting, they gave her until June (of ‘21 or ‘22)? To clean up her act, but turnover rates of county employees is still rising, and exit interviews still aren’t happening. Benefits are getting worse, and she’s refusing to be accountable to her actions. When will the County Exec or County Board hold her accountable? Kevin, do you have any information on this leech on the county teat?
