  2. KUSD are you listening and watching what Salem did? Kenosha would have hid and protected the teacher, we are sick of the tactics you are using we need CHANGE!!!!!!!!!

  3. And what kind of background checks are being done If you can’t even find that an employee’s license is under investigation?? Wow! Someone messed up big time!

    1. Pretty sure her license was out under investigation because of this instance, therefore her license was previously in good standing when she was hired. Just a guess.

    2. License was “under investigation” because it was expired and a background check was submitted. If your teaching license expires and you didn’t renew because you weren’t teaching, and you decide later to go back into teaching, the background check will flag an investigation to determine if the person (who applied for a teaching job) actually got hired and would need to renew their license. Usually the school district would require you to renew your license and verify before assigning you a classroom and giving you a teaching job. Apparently Salem School isn’t big on “details”

      1. Pre-employment Drug Testing.
Is that done at schools ?
Or is it not allowed per union contract ?
Someone who knows please chime in here.

My construction union has pre employment drug testing along with random piss in a cup testing. Once notified I have 24 hours to get to a testing facility and provide a sample. I get paid the hour to take the test and the ability to show up late for work or leave early so it’s really not a burden.

        1. It’s the employer that is in charge of the random- not the union. The union “allows” it but the employer is the one who facilitates it.

          1. it’s in my union contract. All companies signed on with hiring an outside agency to run the process of picking the “random” workers to get tested.
Once failing the test, the union ensures that that employee receives the restrictions and help specified to resolve their issue so they can return to work. The union watches over so the worker just doesn’t go to another contractor to work there. The union is the keeper of the test results not the employer. The employers also receives consideration from their insurance companies for having a drug testing program in place.

Remember. Trade unions are clearing houses for workers to go to whatever company needs workers. Test results need to stay in one place

  4. Watch out KEV, therapist wack job will accuse you again of pulling the great women of Kenosha county through the mud..

      1. She worked in Janesville school district as well she was one of
My girls teachers when Covid and just before hit she worked at my girls elementary school and was still finishing her teaching degree

  6. I feel sorry for her students not receiving the services they deserved, and not just in this school district.
There is such a shortage of special education teachers , anyone can get a job regardless of their qualifications and job history.
    Our children deserve better
I hope Kayla gets the help she needs.
