“We would like to use this opportunity to remind our community that our dispatch and call-taking center can be contacted via text message. If you are unable to speak or do not want someone to hear you ask for help, you have the ability to send a text message to “911” to receive help,” said a Sheriff’s spokesman.

According to the criminal complain:

The victim told police that Obregon was taking testosterone and began to act aggressive towards her and paranoid. On January 8, 2025, Obregon woke up the victim by saying “wake the fuck up.” He then accused her of poisoning him and said he was going to shower to “wash away the drugs.” He forced her to stay in the bathroom while he showered. When he was finished, he grabbed two knives and sat in his car. He knew he was wanted by police. Obregon then threatened to kill the victim.

The next day, Obregon then forced the victim into the car with threat of murder with a dagger. As they drove to a scrap yard, he punched her, causing injury. Obregon had a dagger and held it to the woman’s face, threatening her. When the two got to the scrap yard in Racine, she got the attention of employees who called police. He fled in his truck.

Obregon will likely have his initial appearance next week.

  1. ….. for 2 weeks in October of 2015 this guys brother Andrew (or cousin) was on the run in the county while the sheriff’s department chased him day and night. I don’t remember it being too scary but it did make the news almost daily.
A year and a half later he was sentenced to life in prison for murder.

If you’re interested in reading some stories on it just log onto westofthei and type in Andrew Obregon in the search box.
Darren Hillock has got a great archive of all the stories he’s done over the years of things out here west of the interstate.
