Pool Photographer For Rittenhouse Case Kicked Out Of Courtroom And Admonished By Judge For Photographing Juror

Mark Hurtzberg (D) Freelance Photographer

It is almost undisputed that the mainstream media consists of mostly journalists that have a strong bias to the left. Most of us know this to be true. What we have learned at the Kenosha County Eye, however, is that it can also extend to photographers. For the Rittenhouse trial, two photographers were selected by Judge Schroeder to be the pool photographers. This means that these two photographers must share their photos with the many dozens of news media organizations in Kenosha covering the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse. Veteran Kenosha News photographer Sean Krajacic was chosen to be a pool photographer. He is extremely talented and very familiar with the dynamics of the courtroom and Judge Schroeder’s rules. For some reason, Judge Schroeder chose a freelance photographer, formerly of the Racine Journal times, Mark Hertzberg to be the second pool photographer.

The Kenosha News has a very unusual way of handling pool photos. For example, the Kenosha County Eye must pay $30 for each photo we wish to display on our website. They are supposed to be free for news agencies that are present to cover the trial. Zuma Press is a national wire press organization that employees Herzberg. They are giving the pool photos free to the news media as they are supposed to.

Halfway through the trial, the Kenosha County Eye received an email from Mark Hertzberg, the second pool photographer. Hertzberg took particular issue for us using the term “pedophile” to describe Joseph Rosenbaum, seemingly defending the deceased man’s sexual crime convictions against young children. He also took issue with us identifying T. Clair Binger as a Democrat. It is no secret that Binger is a Democrat. He ran a failed campaign for district attorney as a Democrat. He freely admits to friends and family that he is a bleeding heart liberal. Hertzburg told us that we could not use his photos.

Hertzberg seemed to prioritize his political affiliation as a far-left Democrat over his occupation. We reached out to the judge to let him know that he was refusing to provide us with the pool photos. The judge and staff ordered ZUMA to provide us with the pool photos as we were an approved media outlet for the trial.

Ironically, a couple days later in the trial, it was discovered that Hertzberg had photographed at least one juror that is currently deliberating Rittenhouses fate. This is a grave violation of the Court’s order and jeopardizes the safety of the jurors and integrity of the proceedings. Judge Schroeder kicked him out of the courtroom and he is not allowed back in with his camera. He was spotted outside of the courtroom socializing with BLM protesters.

We never would have thought that employees with non-editorial roles within a media organization would act differently because of their political affiliations. The far-left media organization MSNBC has also been banned from the court house for allegedly ordering a producer to follow the jury and photograph them.

The media should avoid harassing, intimidating or analyzing the jury so this community can get a fair verdict and move on.

  1. I seen a leaked letter on korei page you wrote to the mayor. Is Clyde being here and suddenly the left is ok with “crossing “ state lines There are a bunch of hypocrites out here. Kevin Glowicki is out there running around again, trying to be relevant again, begging for a place to stay and for money. He is so bias and wrong when he speaks it’s sickening. The protestors have been mostly peaceful but how is it legal to be out on the steps by the doors, loud on purpose? No jury intimidation at all?

  2. but now you are stuck with having to pay 30 bucks for each pic for the duration of the trial because the kenosha news has the only pics available. there should be an alternate photographer to take the place of the fellow who is not capable of following the rules. i just imagine this is all fixen to come to a screeching halt. just put your seatbelt on- i think this judge has had a belly full of backdoor blinger and whopper making a mockery of his court. i have confidence in this judge to uphold the constitution of our great USA.

  3. Well, that’s life…..sometimes you try to get pics and personal information on other people for your cause (like this dipshit did by trying to photograph jurors) and then you actually end up being the one who gets identified, has their picture posted, and written about. Good work KM.

  4. Did they confiscate the SD card that the photo was taken on? Simply deleting the photo doesn’t actually remove it from the underlying storage media and can be trivially restored with SD file restoration software.

Also LOL at Hertzberg taking issue with (correctly and accurately) identifying Rosenbaum as a Pedophile. Why would he have issue with this?
