SOMERS, Wis. – A Kenosha couple is facing felony charges after authorities say they helped their daughter assault another teenage girl during a pre-arranged fight at Petrifying Springs Park.
Romeo M. Villanueva, 38, is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a child, a felony enhanced because the incident occurred near a county park, and disorderly conduct. He appeared in court Monday, where Court Commissioner William Michel II set his cash bail at $2,500. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 17.

On Tuesday, prosecutors also charged the girl’s mother, Cassie Farmer, 37, with felony contributing to the delinquency of a child. Farmer, born April 4, 1988, was not taken into custody but was issued a summons. Her initial court appearance is scheduled for July 15.
According to the criminal complaint, deputies with the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fight at Petrifying Springs Park on June 7. A teenage girl told deputies she had agreed to fight another girl later in the week, but the girl unexpectedly showed up early—accompanied by both her parents.
The victim told deputies that during the fight, Villanueva grabbed her arms and held her down while his daughter continued punching her. She said Farmer pulled her hair from behind, causing pain and making it harder to defend herself.
The teen had visible scratches on her face and chest, red cheeks, and dried blood around her mouth when deputies arrived.
Multiple witnesses corroborated the story. One adult said he saw Villanueva “throwing” the teen around. A teenage witness who filmed the fight provided video that deputies say shows Villanueva pushing the teen off his daughter and then physically restraining her to allow his daughter to resume the attack.
Villanueva told deputies he had hoped to mediate between the two girls and claimed he only got involved to break up the fight. He admitted he never called police, saying someone told him to let it “play out.”
Because the incident occurred within 1,000 feet of Petrifying Springs Park, prosecutors have added a statutory enhancer to Villanueva’s charges that could increase his sentence by up to five years if convicted. Farmer’s charge also carries a maximum penalty of six years in prison.

The girl was stalking and threatening their daughter. Their intention was to speak to the parents. But not surprisingly, they had no clue what their daughter was doing. The couple they accused of assisting was actually pulling girls off of their daughter. There is video of it. But there is no law against jumping people. They got in trouble because there is a law against helping people to prevent hurting someone when they are underage. Use common sense people. Keep your ignorant comments to yourself.

This article is reporting false information. It will come out in court. And the parents of the other girls who weren’t there (because they don’t care to keep track of their kids and what they are doing) will end up being in trouble. Just give it time, let the justice system go thru its process, and remember, you cannot lie in court.

I usually don’t talk about people’s faults or wrong doings, BUT!!!!! This is the same guy that ran up on my 7yr old son in a basketball ball game at the Boys and Girls Club. It took about half the gym to keep me off of him. I’m glad to see something being done about it now. Maybe you’ll stop running up on people’s kids. Good thing they got you and not me. Frfr
