KENOSHA, Wis. — The City of Kenosha Parks Department is once again transforming Washington Municipal Golf Course into a winter wonderland for the Third Annual Magic at Muni, a dazzling, walk-through holiday lights event that has become one of the city’s favorite seasonal traditions.
The family-friendly attraction runs from Nov. 29 through Dec. 28, open Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 5 to 8 p.m. Admission is free, and visitors of all ages are invited to enjoy a festive stroll under thousands of twinkling lights and colorful displays spread across a 1/3-mile scenic loop featuring both paved and grassy pathways.
Inside the golf clubhouse, guests can take a break and warm up with hot chocolate, cookies, and other treats available for purchase. The building’s interior will be decked out with holiday decorations, offering a cozy gathering spot for families and friends looking to extend their visit.
Parking is available on site, and overflow parking can be found across the street at Washington Park. City staff are encouraging carpooling to help ease congestion and ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
In just a few years, Magic at Muni has grown into a signature holiday tradition, attracting visitors not only from Kenosha but from neighboring communities as well. Whether for a romantic evening stroll, a family night out, or simply a peaceful moment to take in the glow, the event offers a little something for everyone.
The Parks Department describes it as a way to “create lasting memories and celebrate the joy of the season,” while keeping it free and accessible to all. The display is located at Washington Municipal Golf Course, 2205 Washington Road, and promises to be bigger and brighter than ever this year.
Local businesses and community organizations interested in participating or sponsoring displays can reach the department by email at [email protected], by phone at 262-653-4080, or by visiting kenosha.org/departments/city_parks/magic_at_muni.php.
