The general spring election for all Kenosha City Council districts will be held April 7, 2026.

With many uncontested seats and only a handful of competitive races, the 2026 City Council elections are expected to result in limited turnover, though the open seat in District 15 and the return bids by former aldermen Daniel Prozanski Jr. and Jesse Downing add movement to this year’s council contests.

For fun, here are the two terms I served on the Council:

  1. I wish Leticia in District 12 came on our block we would all have signed for her ! We can’t stand that Ruth !!! She’s awful and lacks so much . If I could run against her myself I would have but I am just to old . We put up with Ruth’s nonsense for years .

  2. Great- now open Kennedy drive until the park closes at 10!
Silly to close it, my wife and I have always enjoyed taking an evening ride through, and the city has ruined that. The police department doesn’t oppose it being opened, I’ve spoken to several of their administration. It’s only so an (un named) alderman who lives on 5th Ave can control the rest of us.
