KENOSHA, Wis. — With prom season approaching, the campaign team for Kenosha County sheriff candidate James Beller is partnering with local businesses and community members to help area students attend one of the biggest nights of their high school experience.

The campaign announced this week that #TeamBeller is working alongside Molly Gray Moores, Sallese & Company and Drifter’s Bar & Grill to collect lightly used prom dresses for local high school students who may not otherwise be able to afford formal attire.
The dress drive is scheduled for Saturday, April 4, with two collection locations available for residents who want to donate.
The first drop-off site will be at Sallese & Company, located at 709 56th St. in Kenosha, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
A second collection event will be held later that day at Drifter’s Bar & Grill, located at 24317 75th St. in Salem Lakes, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Organizers said the donated dresses will be distributed to students at Kenosha-area high schools in hopes of helping more teenagers attend prom without the financial burden that often comes with buying formalwear.
Residents are encouraged to donate gently used dresses that are still in good condition. The effort is intended to give students more options while also keeping dresses out of closets and giving them a second life.
For many students, prom can be one of the most memorable nights of high school, but the cost of dresses, tuxedos, tickets and transportation can quickly add up. Organizers hope the community-wide effort will make the event more accessible for students and families across the area.

This is such a great idea. Prom wear and all the extras can be hundreds of dollars. I hope the kids can get useful clothes they really like and then spend what they have to on the tickets, etc. instead. Some good good news here, we need it!
What a wonderful event. All girls and guys should be able to have the chance to go to prom knowing they look and feel just as special as anyone else.
I’m so sorry I missed this event as I have quite a few I could donate, along with shoes. Does anyone have a contact that I could call/text to arrange a donation this week? Thanks!!!
