KENOSHA, Wis. — The same pink Laffy Taffy wrappers investigators said helped lead police to Treshawn L. Tooks ultimately followed him all the way to sentencing Friday, where Judge Heather Iverson sentenced the 24-year-old Kenosha man to life in prison plus seven additional years with no eligibility for parole in a homicide case prosecutors argued was solved through surveillance footage, receipts and candy wrappers left behind.
