TWIN LAKES, Wis. — Voters in the Twin Lakes School District No. 4 will decide in November whether the district should be allowed to exceed its state-imposed revenue limit by $800,000 annually for four years, totaling as much as $3.2 million in additional revenue.
The referendum will appear on the Nov. 3, 2026 ballot and would cover the 2026-27 through 2029-30 school years. According to the district’s official notice of election, the additional money would be used for “operational and maintenance expenses.”
The ballot question will ask voters whether School District No. 4, Village of Twin Lakes, should be authorized to exceed the revenue limit established under Wisconsin law by $800,000 per year for four years. The referendum is described as non-recurring, meaning the additional authority would expire after the 2029-30 school year unless voters later approved another referendum.
The district operates Lakewood School at 1218 Wilmot Ave. in Twin Lakes. Its current website also includes a dedicated referendum section.
The election notice does not provide a breakdown of how the additional $800,000 per year would be spent beyond stating that it would fund operational and maintenance expenses. It also does not state the estimated property-tax impact on individual homeowners.
