Angela Martinelli, former neighbor of the Jensens testified that she was neighbors with the Jensens until 1997, when she moved. She talked about Julie and the book club. It wasn’t clear why she was called as a witness. It is becoming clear why the 2007-2008 trial was the longest in Wisconsin’s history. It appears maybe Special Prosecutor Jambois likes to call as many witnesses as he can as some sort of strategy.

Tadeusz (Ted) Wojt, former Neighbor and Friend To Julie Jensen was deemed to be “unavailable” by the court. It is believed that he suffers from a memory condition. This allows the prosecutors to play previous testimony. Jurors heard Ted talk for over an hour about how Julie confided in him about her troubled marriage. Ted testified he was worried for Julie and her kids, so he offered her over $1,000 and a vacation home for her to use to get away from Mark. She declined. He is the wife of the late Malgorzata (Margaret) Wojt. Ted and his wife were given the “letter” that lead to the reversing of Jensen’s conviction.

Joseph Mangi, most notably remembered for being the superintendent of Schools for Kenosha Unified, testified that he offered Julie Jensen an office job at Bradford High School when he was principal. He called to give her the good news and Mark answered the phone. Mangi testified that Mark said, “She’s going to be asleep for a long time.” and laughed. He said he found it unsettling and disconcerting that Mark laughed.

Forensic Pathologist Dr. Michael Chambliss, MD took the stand and testified extensively about the autopsy of Julie from 1998. He told the jury that he has performed over 7,000 autopsies and testified in court over 11,000 times. He was a medical examiner in Waukesha at the time, but came to Kenosha County becuase the Kenosha County ME was off of work. He testified about the possible cause of death being anti-freeze, asphyxiation, or a combination of them both. He changed his opinion from 1998 when he seemed to think that this was a suicide. He did not explain why his testimony changed some 14 years later. Autopsy photos, and postmortem photos, extremely graphic in nature, were shown to the jury. A few of the jurors seemed visibly shaken by the images that were left on the screen for several minutes at a time. Dr. Chambiss’ testimony finished right at 5 pm when court was adjourned.

  1. You sure would think if he made her drink the antifreeze that would have been some
physical evidence, since that chemical never dries, you sure would think there be something on her clothes or bed, because when someone makes you drink something almost all the time you try to spit it out or resist it there for something should be there, Sorry but i don’t believe it , I don’t think this guy did it , I think she hated him so much that this was a way back at him , Don’t get me wrong , i think he might have been an ass , and wasnt good to her , But killing her . I’m not sold on it, no real evidence all speculation! But that how are DA, think they should win cases, you can tell by the behavior in the court room, if i was the judge, I would set that DA straight with court room behavior ,

    1. Antifreeze is sweet & he was putting it in her drink. Putting antifreeze in a sweet drink is hard to tell. Also it’s pretty hard for her to sit on herself to suffocate. He didn’t even call an ambulance. That says something within itself.

  2. I don’t think that he is guilty. Both were playing in a toxic relationship that had to finish long time ago.
All speculation. All revenge for both sides.
She is not innocent. She decided to be there. She tried that he can be how she thought he might be. Wrong wish in a lot women.
I am from Europe and I am not friend or nothing of Jensen family but I saw this case by YouTube.
Judge was bad and not fair about Jensen parole.
Julie’s brothers weren’t when she was bad and she didn’t call them. Why?.
Too much doubt and contradict in this case.
