Everyone OK After Medical Event Causes Driver To Crash Into Vacant Kenosha Store

A vehicle drove through the front entrance of Bed Bath & Beyond Thursday evening at about 7:30 pm. By 10:00 pm, Bindelli Construction was boarding up the now-vacant building.

According to Kenosha Police Sergeant Dusty Nichols, there was no suspected impairment, or any criminal findings. Nichols said a likely medical event triggered the driver to lose control of his vehicle and enter the store. Nichols told KCE Thursday evening that no one was hurt and confirmed that there was no structural damage to the building.

The vehicle made it almost to the west wall, from the east entrance. According to Kenosha County Mapping measurement, the vehicle made it about 200 feet inside the building.

Jensen towing was dispatched to the scene and removed the vehicle.
