Captain Robert Hallisy (Left) Captain Bill Beth (Right)

According to our sources, Captain Bill Beth reported to work today as usual. He said hi to co-workers and got to work. Later in the day, Chief Deputy Marc Levin sent an email department-wide saying that the Captain was placed on administrative leave and left the building. Captain Bill Beth is Sheriff David Beth’s cousin, so he rose through the ranks very quickly with his cousin’s help. He was promoted ahead of other, perhaps more qualified Deputies. This made the news of his being placed on administrative leave a big shock to the department.

Bill’s cousin and boss, David Beth, has been sheriff for almost 20 years here in Kenosha County. Although he puts a “(R)” in front of his name, many area republicans call him a RINO (Republican in name only). He has taken heat from the left and the right in recent years. Dave Beth’s mother, Sandra Beth was recently elected to the Kenosha County Board. She told folks she is a republican, but she has sided with County Executive James Kreuser (D) with almost every liberal policy he puts forward. Bill’s son is Dustin Beth, an embattled young man that has been accused of scamming others. Read this article, this article and finally, this article. Dustin currently is listed as a registered agent for 5 companies according to the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions. Three have been “administratively dissolved”, one is “delinquent” and the other is “Badger State Communications, INC” which is currently helping Angelina Gabriele (D) get elected judge.
We reached out to Sheriff Beth and the County Human Resources Director for comment and haven’t heard back.

Captain Hallisy Pushed Out

Captain Hallisy was placed on administrative leave about three months ago by the Sheriff. According to our sources, he was helping get comp time or overtime for deputies that were working 12 – 15 hour shifts during the riots. The Sheriff wouldn’t tell us why exactly he was being investigated, but Hallisy was very well liked by the Deputies – not by the Sheriff apparently. According to Hallisy’s personnel file, he hasn’t been in any type of trouble in almost 21 years. Today was Hallisy’s last day on the job. He is no longer employed by the department.

Sheriff Beth was rumored to be retiring after this term ends, but his cousin was thought to be the “anointed successor”. Maybe not anymore. We’ll give you more details as we get them, but Sheriff Beth is known for being extremely anti-transparent – he was successfully sued last year for not turning over public records.
