Today, Joey Miracle and Thomas Wilton were formally charged in Kenosha Circuit Court with murder (as a party to a crime) and burying a corpse, also (PTAC). Police and prosecutors are alleging that Miracle was the trigger man, shooting 60-year-old Kenneth Thoma in the back of the head with a “ghost gun.” Wilton is accused of helping Miracle bury the body and getting rid of the murder weapon. A source told us that the family of the victim is frustrated with the Twin Lakes Police Department for not taking Thoma’s disappearance seriously at first. They made the family wait a day to formally report him missing. Twin Lakes Police, according to their most recent organization chart, lists only one detective on the department. Twin Lakes Police allegedly waited months to ask for help from neighboring agencies under a mutual aid pact. Twin Lake Captain Hall and Chief Grosz didn’t answer our requests for comment in regards to the allegations of sloppy police work.
Both men’s bonds remain at $1Million each.
