Kenosha, Wis. – Three people, including a Kenosha Police Officer, were injured in a crash Saturday evening. Both civilians involved in the collision were hospitalized, while the officer sustained injuries but is expected to recover promptly.
The incident occurred just after 8:45 p.m. when a 20-year-old Kenosha woman was driving southbound on Sheridan Road. She was preparing to turn left onto 66th Street. Surveillance footage captured the moment a Kenosha Police Officer, responding to a traffic stop involving a physical altercation, collided with the woman’s vehicle. The impact caused the car to flip before striking a light pole.
The driver was cited for Failure to Yield or Stop for an Emergency Vehicle. Wisconsin law allows emergency vehicles with lights and sirens activated to pass on the left. However, the circumstances of this crash have raised questions about whether the officer’s response was appropriate.
A witness believed the driver made the safest choice upon noticing the police officer at the last moment, while others question the actions of both parties in the high-speed emergency situation.
Kenosha County Eye (KCE) has reached out to the Kenosha Police Department (KPD) and the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO), who investigated the crash, for further comment. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Half the story isn’t a story at all. Just look at the two comments based on 2 seconds of video.
Maybe the cop was behind the “girl” for blocks. Maybe she should have pulled over to the right like most people do with police lights behind them. Maybe the cop had a seizure. Maybe just maybe.
Half stories sell, whole stories don’t.
If I recall driver’s education it is pull to the right, not make a left turn.
Or just stop and let them go by. If you can’t make simple decisions while driving, perhaps Uber would be a safer choice.
We do have a local Yellow Cab in Kenosha, again.
We have investigated ourselves and have come to the conclusion that we’ve done nothing wrong.

And who’s to say the cop had his siren on? I have seen many who put their sirens on last minute and scare the shit out of and you don’t know where they’re at!!! So much more to this story that isn’t share and you can’t see that well by the video!!!
