KENOSHA, Wis. – Former Kenosha County Board Supervisor Andy Berg—better known by his pornographic stage name “Sgt. Hard”—is headed back to court next month, this time for allegedly failing to support his own child.
According to a sworn affidavit filed by the Kenosha County Child Support Agency, Berg has been underpaying his court-ordered child support since at least February. As of May 1, he owed $3,091.22 in back child support, plus $38.67 in interest. Despite a previous court order to pay $543.49 per month, records show Berg’s last payment was just $200 on February 28. He has also defaulted on a separate $108.70 monthly obligation toward arrears and birth-related expenses.
A contempt hearing is scheduled for July 21, where Berg will have the chance to explain to a judge why he hasn’t fulfilled his obligations.
This latest development adds to a growing list of scandals surrounding the disgraced former politician.
In October 2024, Kenosha County Eye broke the story that Berg had been fired from his position as a sergeant with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. That firing stemmed from internal findings that he abused his access to law enforcement systems, possibly in an attempt to dig up dirt on this publication and its editor.
In May 2024, Kenosha Police recommended felony theft charges against Berg, alleging that he embezzled funds from the nonprofit he once ran. The organization, created to support veterans, is the same one from which Berg allegedly siphoned money for personal use—a charge he has denied but never fully explained.
In 2023, KCE revealed that Berg was moonlighting as a performer and content creator in gay pornography under the alias “Sgt. Hard,” using a Wisconsin DOC badge and uniform in his adult films—an apparent violation of department policy.
That same year, Kenosha County Eye successfully sued for public records related to Berg’s misconduct while he was a sitting County Board Supervisor. The court ordered the release of records Berg had previously refused to make public, highlighting his lack of transparency.
These reports built upon earlier coverage dating back to 2020 and 2021, which chronicled Berg’s retaliatory behavior, erratic leadership, and questionable finances—particularly surrounding his now-defunct nonprofit, which also triggered the current criminal investigation.
Court records now add “deadbeat dad” to Berg’s résumé of controversy.
The July 21 hearing could result in financial penalties or even jail time, depending on the court’s findings. The contempt motion, filed by the Child Support Agency on behalf of the State of Wisconsin, underscores a pattern of Berg refusing to abide by the same rules he once helped craft as a public official.
Berg has not responded to KCE’s requests for comment.
More updates will follow as this case progresses.

Charges for delinquent Child Support? It’s a court order, you can be arrested for not paying and will have to answer to the judge. And the can cancel your passport, but nothing criminal.
Not sure if you are correct. I have seen people in state prison for failure to support.
I was referring to the fraud/theft/embezzlement
