KENOSHA, Wis. – A Kenosha woman described by police as an accused prostitute is facing six new felony charges after allegedly fleeing from an officer while handcuffed and injuring him during the struggle.
Kiana N. Hamilton, 20, was charged Wednesday in Kenosha County Circuit Court with obstructing an officer causing injury, escape causing injury, and four counts of felony bail jumping. Court Commissioner William Michel II set her cash bail at $15,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 17.
According to the complaint, Officer Myles Smith of the Kenosha Police Department saw Hamilton walking through a parking lot in the 1300 block of 56th Street on Tuesday afternoon. He had been searching for her earlier that day after a report that she was prostituting herself near the 1000 block of 58th Street and had an active felony warrant. When he confirmed her identity, he placed her in handcuffs and told her she was under arrest.
As Smith opened the door of his squad car, Hamilton allegedly took off running through the lot with her hands cuffed behind her back. The officer chased her down and tackled her, but suffered abrasions and a large hematoma to his right forearm in the process.
At the time, Hamilton was out on bond in two other felony cases—2024CF1820 and 2024CF1837—with conditions that she commit no new crimes. Prosecutors say she violated those terms, leading to four new counts of felony bail jumping. She also had an active warrant in a third felony case, 2025CF865, involving identity theft and additional bail jumping charges.
Each of the six new charges carries a maximum penalty of six years in prison. The escape charge includes a penalty enhancer for causing injury to an officer, which could add up to five more years.
Hamilton was medically cleared at the hospital before being booked into the Kenosha County Jail.

I don’t see any open prostitution cases but if she was so accused it would be the least of her worries. Allegedly being involved in a carjacking isn’t a misdemeanor. At her age her criminal record is getting big enough to occupy its own ZIP code.

They would only charge the person soliciting prostitution.
