KENOSHA, Wis. – A Kenosha man accused of threatening to shoot and assault a police officer during his arrest was charged Wednesday with a felony threat to a law enforcement officer, as a repeat offender.

Joshua Emmanuel Norman, 40, appeared in court Wednesday where Court Commissioner William Michel II ordered a $5,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 5.
According to the criminal complaint, officers responded to a disturbance call at the Shalom Center on July 29. Norman, the caller, claimed another man had threatened him in the shower. But a Shalom Center employee told police that Norman was the actual aggressor and was on the verge of being expelled for behavioral issues.
While on scene, officers learned Norman had an active felony warrant from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He was arrested without incident, but police say he became agitated during transport and made several threats.
Body-worn camera footage allegedly captured Norman saying, “Ima remember that… Ima shoot the shit out of you bro,” followed by, “Meet me in the alley in the streets, I’ll beat your ass.” The threats were made while Norman was in the back of a marked police vehicle in custody.
Norman’s prior felony conviction in 2021 for theft from a person or corpse makes him eligible for an enhanced penalty under the state’s repeater statute.

I’d find charges like this more acceptable if the police would act when a person makes a threat like this to another member of us lesser people.
Dude dropped the soap.
Extra probation for him
Not a very smart criminal
Prisons are “standing room only” at this point.
Prison is big business. It’s never going to be standing room only.
This boy needs to get worked over for 20 minutes with batons by a couple of Kenosha’s finest.
Let’s see how much talking he does with a busted jaw and missing half his teeth.
