SALEM LAKES, Wis. – A Genoa City man is facing felony charges after a recent conviction elevated what would have been a third OWI offense to a fourth, criminal complaint records show.

Kyle M. Keehn, 39, was formally charged Wednesday with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (OWI) – fourth offense, a Class H felony. He was also charged with operating while revoked, possession of THC, and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.
Although the incident occurred in October 2024, the charges were filed this week after Keehn was convicted in December for an earlier OWI, his third. That conviction, in Walworth County, upgraded the current case to a felony fourth offense under state law.
Keehn’s initial appearance in Kenosha County Circuit Court is scheduled for Aug. 28.
According to the criminal complaint, a sheriff’s deputy pulled Keehn over on Oct. 11, 2024, in the Village of Salem Lakes after observing him riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with revoked operating privileges. Keehn reportedly admitted to the deputy that he wasn’t supposed to be driving and had no insurance.
The deputy noted Keehn appeared impaired, with slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. Keehn allegedly admitted to consuming a THC gummy around midnight the night before. A vape pen containing THC was also recovered from his motorcycle. A subsequent blood test confirmed the presence of active THC.
At the time, Keehn was out on bond in the Walworth County case and was prohibited from driving or using controlled substances. His new charges include two counts of bail jumping for allegedly violating both of those conditions.
He now faces up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted of the felony OWI, along with additional penalties for the related misdemeanor offenses.
