KENOSHA, Wis. — A Kenosha woman is facing 13 criminal charges, including three counts of felony bail jumping and multiple drug felonies, after police say she ran a methamphetamine operation out of a room at the Country Inn & Suites on 122nd Avenue.
Paulina Maciantowicz, 37, was in court Wednesday and charged with offenses including three counts of methamphetamine delivery, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of various controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was ordered held on a $50,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 12.
According to a criminal complaint, investigators with the Kenosha Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit used a confidential informant to make three controlled purchases of methamphetamine from Maciantowicz in June and July. One of the transactions allegedly involved more than 50 grams.
Police executed a search warrant on August 4 at Room #224 of the hotel, where they say they found methamphetamine, psilocin (commonly referred to as “magic mushrooms”), Tramadol, Lorazepam, marijuana, and THC concentrate, along with digital scales, packaging materials, and a drug ledger.
Detectives allege that Maciantowicz had been living in the hotel room for over a month and was previously out on bond in a separate felony drug case filed last year. As a result, she is also charged with three counts of felony bail jumping for violating the conditions of that release by allegedly possessing drugs, paraphernalia, and committing new crimes.
The investigation began in early June after a confidential informant identified Maciantowicz as “Monica,” who was reportedly selling meth from the hotel. Detectives say they confirmed her identity and phone number through prior arrest records and surveillance during the drug deals.
If convicted on all counts, Maciantowicz faces the potential for decades in prison.
