KENOSHA, Wis. — A 22-year-old Kenosha woman is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after allegedly kicking a police officer and threatening to kill her mother during what authorities described as a mental health crisis.

(Kenosha County Sheriff)
Alexandria Nicole Buis was in court Friday, where she was charged with felony battery to a law enforcement officer, misdemeanor disorderly conduct (domestic abuse), and misdemeanor bail jumping. She is due back in court Aug. 29 for a competency hearing and is currently on a Chapter 51 mental health hold.
According to the criminal complaint, Kenosha police were called to the 5200 block of 17th Avenue on Aug. 7 after Buis’ mother reported that her daughter was yelling, being hostile, and possibly experiencing a psychotic episode. The mother told officers that Buis had struck her in the arms and thrown bottles.
When officers located Buis, she allegedly admitted throwing a bottle at her mother and expressed homicidal thoughts toward her. While being escorted to a squad car, Buis is accused of kicking a police officer in the leg, causing pain. She allegedly told another officer she kicked him because she could “sense his negative energy.”
The incident also violated a no-contact order from a prior case in which Buis was charged with battery and disorderly conduct involving the same victim.
If convicted of all charges, Buis faces more than seven years in prison and $21,000 in fines.
