KENOSHA, Wis. — Two Kenosha teens have been charged in connection with an August 3 shooting outside the Family Dollar store on 22nd Avenue. Both are now wanted on felony warrants and are considered armed and dangerous.
Travian I. White, 18, faces four charges: first-degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent, pointing a firearm at another, and disorderly conduct while armed. Londrel F. Coleman, 19, is charged as a party to the crime of first-degree recklessly endangering safety while armed, and disorderly conduct while armed.
According to the criminal complaints, surveillance and witness accounts show White fought a 14-year-old outside the store, then retrieved a handgun from a silver Hyundai SUV and fired multiple shots toward the teen and nearby bystanders. Witnesses ducked for cover as bullets struck near the store’s exterior wall. Coleman is alleged to have been armed as well, switching seats with White during the confrontation and firing a weapon before both fled the scene in the SUV.
No injuries were reported, but prosecutors say the defendants’ actions showed “utter disregard for human life.” Investigators linked both to the Cut Throat Northside gang.
On Monday, felony warrants were issued for both men’s arrests: $15,000 for White and $10,000 for Coleman. If convicted of the top charge, each faces up to 12 years and 6 months in prison, plus additional time for firearm enhancements.
