KENOSHA, Wis. — A Kenosha man with a growing list of criminal charges walked out of court last week without posting bail, leaving courtroom insiders baffled at a decision they say defies logic.
David P. Prill, 49, of Kenosha, has been charged in four separate cases over the past year, ranging from firearm threats to theft, threatening TikTok rants, and repeated bail violations. Despite his history of arrests and prior cash bonds, Court Commissioner William Michel II set him free on his latest felony case without requiring a dime.
In October 2024, Prill’s legal troubles began when he was accused of pointing a firearm equipped with a laser sight at two different men in separate incidents. Prosecutors charged him on November 8, 2024, with two counts of pointing a firearm and two counts of disorderly conduct with a dangerous weapon. Commissioner Michel ordered $1,000 cash bail, which Prill posted.
On January 11, 2025, Prill allegedly tricked a local dealership into letting him test drive a 2007 Ford F-150 worth nearly $16,000 and never returned it. Officers later found the truck at a property linked to him. He was charged January 28, 2025, with felony theft and misdemeanor bail jumping. In that case, Court Commissioner Donald Bielski ordered $1,000 cash bail, which Prill also posted.
While still out on bond, Prill allegedly posted TikTok videos in late December 2024 threatening a man he had previously clashed with. In one video, he warned, “Unless you want this to be your fucking face,” while kicking holes in a wall. Prosecutors charged him with disorderly conduct and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping. A $750 arrest warrant was issued March 3, 2025, and Prill later posted the bail.
Prill’s most recent case came on September 3, 2025, when he was charged with failing to install a court-ordered ignition interlock device and three counts of bail jumping — two misdemeanors tied to earlier cases and one felony tied to the theft case. This time, despite his history of arrests and alleged crimes committed while on bond, Commissioner Michel set a no-cash bail, freeing him without requiring payment.
Across his four cases, Prill faces a combined maximum of more than 16 years in prison and more than $50,000 in fines if convicted on all counts.
The no-cash bail ruling stunned courthouse observers. One longtime court insider, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the decision “makes no sense” given Prill’s history of repeat offenses while already out on bond.
Prill is scheduled for multiple preliminary hearings later this month as his cases move forward.

That is just the tip of the iceberg with this guy. He has an arrest record 140 pages long that includes domestic violence, gun violence, dui , false imprisonment and impersonating a police officer. He has felony violent crime charges in Illinios and Florida for assault, drug and firearm possession. He stalked and harassed a 75 year old man because that gentlemen wanted to press charges against David for theft. He stalked and harrassed a woman because he felt she cut in front of him in a pick up line and yelled racial slurs at her. He also just rides around on his scooter high bothering anybody he thinks looks LGBTQ or isnt white. The state of Wisconsin has done nothing, NOTHING to keep the community safe from this criminal. They arrest him and let him go time and time again. He is on disability for a fake illness that the state pays for and he still collects assistance for a child that was taken away from him…….so why is he not in jail? Why does he not even have to post bond? If he was anything but a white dude he would be in prison. Do better Kenosha.

He struts around town bragging about his ‘connections’ with Kenosha police and claiming he helped the FBI during the riots. Please. The only thing law enforcement knows him for is being a parasite draining taxpayer money. Add in his history as a woman beater and stalker, and honestly, I wouldn’t be shocked if dealing drugs is on his resume. Just another bottom of the barrel criminal who should be locked up. Better off holding someone’s pockets in the slammer than out here terrorizing good people.
