KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. – A Kenosha County sheriff’s deputy remains on the job after leaking confidential details of a narcotics investigation to a close relative — information that was then relayed to a suspect tied to an outlaw motorcycle gang and meth trafficking network. Despite department insiders telling Kenosha County Eye that termination was a “for sure thing,” Sheriff David Zoerner personally reduced her discipline after she expressed remorse.

So let me get this straight. They fired one deputy because of information that got “leaked” from a criminal informant without actually investigating the situation. But this one admitted to leaking information to not only gang members but drug dealers who she happens to be related to and she gets a slap on the wrist? Wow this department has gone downhill.

They weren’t fired for leaking information. A criminal informant leaked information about this deputy to the department. That information was completely false. However it was not investigated thoroughly. Their coworkers were not interviewed, dispatchers were not interviewed, the GPS system on the car was not pulled and the call records were not pulled.

Sadly, as the county, city, state and country try to combat drug use. . . Her lack of understanding of the severity of her decision, similar to a nurse giving the wrong medication. Maybe back to the academy for a refresher on basic police procedures? Was a note made in her personnel file? Corrective Action of any sort? This has set a presedence on what the sheriff, County tolerate from their employees. Directly off the department website. The badge is five points;
Integrity, lawful, ethical, duty, accountable.
She knew exactly what she was doing. It wasn’t a lack of understanding. If you want to go with a lack of understanding of something so basic and simple, there is no amount of training that will fix her.

Lets see here. I flash my headlights at oncoming traffic to warn them about a speed trap, and i get a ticket for that, but we have a sworn deputy tipping off biker gang drug trafficker and it ok. I’m really confused here on this one. I personally am going to look into this and talk to some federal agents that i work closely with and see how

All I can say is WOW! She admitted it was a “mistake” to relay the information to a relative?????? It was a deliberate act to inform a relative who she must have known was in contact with the suspect. THAT’S WHY SHE TOLD THE RELATIVE! Why else would she tell the relative? Idle gossip? Nothing to see here, just an honest mistake? Holy shit!
This story reminds me of an episode of “Sons of Anarchy.” The only difference is the show didn’t co-star a bumbling, stumbling Barney Fife type, a role Zoerner seems to be perfecting these days.

If the explanation doesn’t hold up, the Sheriff may face serious legal consequences for covering for her. If she doesn’t do prison time then maybe Zorner should!! Other ppl have been fired and charged in cases like this. What does this say for Kenosha county you ask? It’s a good ok boy system and in cases like this, if ppl in authority are not willing to take initiative in disciplinary actions of their employees then they should be removed!!!!
