Deputies and Salem Lakes Fire and Rescue responded to the crash around 8:01 p.m. in the 27400 block of County Highway C, near 274th Avenue. Investigators said the woman was riding westbound on CTH C when an eastbound SUV attempted to turn left onto 274th Avenue. The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the SUV.

The SUV driver was not injured, though two passengers suffered minor injuries. All three stayed on scene and cooperated with investigators. The sheriff’s office said speed does not appear to have been a factor for either driver.

Because of the fatality, the Kenosha County Major Crash Assistance Team was called to the scene to investigate. The sheriff’s office said the investigation remains active and ongoing.

  1. Why ??

SUV driver didn’t see the motorcycle !

    Why ??

Are they not big enough ? Are the headlights on the motorcycle not bright enough ?
I’m not blaming the motorcyclist but you would never catch me on one for just this reason.

Stupid, not looking, not paying attention, SUV vehicle drivers don’t pay enough attention to what they are doing !

Just after dark. I hope the SUV driver receives charges ! I hope the motorcyclist family sues civilly for wrongful death. I hope they win !
Three people in the SUV ! Nobody saw this motorcycle ??? All were probably on their phones.

Am I talking out of turn ? You bet. But what other results can anyone expect ? Pay FUCKING ATTENTION WHEN YOU DRIVE. ESPECIALLY WHEN TURNING !! NO EXCUSE !!
    Hope this haunts all three.

Sad outcome for someone just tooling down the road.

      1. And 5 people didn’t like what was said and the only Fucking comment is too many exclamation points ?
That was my comment there. The fact that 4 wheel vehicles don’t fucking bother to pay attention to what’s in front of them.
Am I wrong that the SUV driver was probably wrong ????

This doesn’t seem to be like a few months back when a truck turned left in front of a motorcycle up in Paris I think. Remember that story ??

It was reported that that motorcycle was doing in excess of 100 miles an hour. The truck never saw him. Not his fault. But here ? Seems like it wasn’t the motorcycle fault. Unless they can prove she was speeding.
        Probably will never know.
