A guy i went to high school in Libertyville sentence to 30 years to life for killing his girlfriend.The summer we graduated. He got paroled after thirty three years. He disappeared Into nowhere when he got out. Frank Slago was his name.
I’m also from Libertyville. Frank Slago moved to the near West Side of Chicago after he got out and lived in halfway house. He died a few years ago and is buried in the family plot at Acension Cemetery. Kim Muno wasn’t his girlfriend, but he had a crush on her. She was homecoming queen. Such a sad story. His parents and siblings were really nice people.
I stumbled across something interesting in that Slago is buried un Ascension Cemetery , and I believe Kim,s remains were reinterred from Chicago back to Libertyville . Also in Ascension Cemetery. Makes me sick. I was a friend of Kim,s starting in Gradeschool at Highland in Libertyville. What a great person and so pretty. I also knew Frank Slago somewhat. His folks had the Chicken Unlimited restaurant in Town , and I worked at brown,s chicken , and had a running rivalry about whos Food was better. Also both car guys. He had his Charger, I had a 69 Cougar . We were in auto shop together at Libertyville High School. We were assigned to rebuild an engine together. The Christmas break came and went , Kim was missing , and neither returned. I then found out he did it. I have been haunted by this to this day. He actually called me once from Joliet prison to try and get a favor. Told him to pound sand !

Wisconsin is crazy, The man that murdered my friends dad in the early 80’s just because he was hell bent on killing the next person he saw was paroled a few years ago. It brought back all the pain for the family. It’s not right. Plus at 61 years old what skills does he have? How is he going to earn a living? He hasn’t paid into social security in almost 40 years. What’s the easiest way to make money? Stealing or dealing. I hope the next victim of his crimes is a liberal politician
