KENOSHA, Wis. — The parking lot at the Brat Stop was jammed Saturday afternoon, overflowing with Illinois and Wisconsin plates alike, as fans crowded inside to watch the Cubs and Brewers meet in the National League Division Series.
Roughly a hundred people filled the restaurant and bar, and the split was nearly even—half in Cubs blue, half in Brewers gold. The playoff rivalry drew shouts, laughter, and plenty of good-natured heckling as every pitch flashed across the wall of TVs.
The atmosphere was electric from the first pitch. Brewers fans roared as Freddy Peralta took the mound, while Cubs supporters countered with chants when their lineup was announced. Servers hustled trays of brats, cheese curds, and pitchers through narrow aisles as fans leaned forward on every pitch, sometimes startling the staff with eruptions of cheers or groans after close calls.
At times the Brat Stop felt less like a restaurant and more like a neutral-site stadium—halfway up I-94 between Wrigley and American Family Field. When Milwaukee came up with a big hit, their fans filled the room with noise. Cubs faithful answered back with chants of “Cubs! Cubs! Cubs!” after Chicago’s rallies, determined not to be outdone.
What united the crowd was the playoff intensity. Both sides knew this wasn’t just another chapter in a long rivalry; it was October baseball with real stakes. The Brat Stop, already legendary as a meeting ground for fans from both sides of the border, lived up to its reputation as a true crossroads for one of the Midwest’s fiercest rivalries.

Probably in part because of the bullshit that the networks pull these days moving games all around like this one on TBS which anyone with Fubo TV couldn’t get and so on and so forth! They want to make people keep buying different apps obviously! They do this all the time with things that they know most people will wanna watch and its always sports stuff! The NFL and MLB should stop agreeing with the networks on this bullshit! It should be “OUTLAWED!” For a small example: I pay for the Marquee channel to watch my Cubs games. At least a dozen or so games were NOT ON THE MARQUEE CHANNEL THROUGHOUT THE REGULAR SEASON!! BULLSHIT!! What the TV Networks and the phone companies get away with these days should be “ILLEGAL!” I am writing a letter to my president Trump right now! There needs to be limitations/ regulations on what these ASSHOLES can do!!! Stop taking advantage of us!!!
