KENOSHA, Wis. – The Kenosha Unified School District is looking for community members, students, and staff to serve on its standing committees for the 2025-26 school year.
The district announced Tuesday that it is accepting applications for its Audit/Budget/Finance, Curriculum/Program, Personnel/Policy, and Planning/Facilities committees. Each committee is made up of six community members, two district staff members, two students, and board member representation.
Applicants should have relevant experience and an interest in sharing their expertise in support of KUSD’s mission to provide challenging learning opportunities that prepare students for success. To qualify, individuals must live in Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie, or Somers.
Prospective members are required to complete a Standing Committee Interest Form by Monday, Oct. 27. Appointments will be announced Friday, Nov. 7. Those selected will serve a one-year term and are expected to attend at least 80 percent of meetings.
The committees are scheduled to meet on Dec. 1, 2025; Feb. 12, 2026; April 16, 2026; June 11, 2026; and Aug. 13, 2026.
