JANESVILLE, Wis. — Congressman Bryan Steil (WI-01) will host a telephone town hall on Friday, October 10 at 12:00 p.m. CT to discuss the ongoing federal government shutdown, his efforts to reopen the government, and how the stoppage is affecting Wisconsin families.
The event marks Steil’s ninth telephone town hall of the year. His office notes he has also held numerous in-person listening sessions across the 1st District in 2025, including stops in Beloit, Bristol, Elkhorn, Janesville, and Mount Pleasant.
“One of my top priorities is to be available and accessible to Wisconsin families,” Steil said in announcing the call. “I look forward to hearing from residents about the challenges they are facing, discussing the ongoing government shutdown, and having a productive conversation about how we can move our nation forward.”
Residents of the 1st Congressional District can participate by signing up at Steil.house.gov/live or by calling his Janesville office at (608) 752-4050. The call is scheduled to begin at noon Central on Friday.

A telephone town hall….big coward can’t even face his constituents.
It’s all smoke and mirrors. They know they sold us all out. Stock up food, guns, n ammo.
Better to stock up on lawyers, guns and money….
Can you do better?
