KENOSHA, Wis. — The Kemper Center Board of Directors has appointed Beth Pramme as president of the historic nonprofit organization, effective immediately, as it readies for its hallmark “Christmas at Kemper” celebration beginning November 29 with the Opening Night Gala at the Anderson Arts Center.

Pramme will manage day-to-day operations, guide strategic planning, and oversee community engagement for the 17.5-acre lakefront campus that includes Kemper Hall, the Anderson Arts Center, and the Durkee Mansion. Her responsibilities include developing new programming, expanding tourism partnerships, and enhancing preservation efforts for the century-old complex.

Kemper Center’s board described her appointment as both timely and strategic as the organization positions itself for growth in arts, education, and cultural tourism. “Beth’s deep background in communications, leadership, and historic preservation makes her a perfect fit to steer Kemper Center into the next chapter,” the board said in its announcement.

Extensive Communications and Political Background

According to her public LinkedIn profile, Pramme serves as Global Corporate Communications Manager at SC Johnson, a role she has held since April 2021. Prior to that, she spent more than six years at Snap-on Incorporated in Kenosha, where she advanced through several senior communications positions.

At Snap-on’s Tools Group and Industrial Division, Pramme managed external marketing programs reaching more than 75,000 members, led media and public relations initiatives resulting in hundreds of targeted placements, and directed multiple digital campaigns across the company’s brands. She also oversaw the launch of Snap-on’s catalog app on Android and Apple platforms and produced national product-launch video campaigns.

Before joining Snap-on, Pramme worked in the Wisconsin State Senate as a legislative assistant, coordinating outreach across Racine and Kenosha counties and managing relations with government officials, community activists, and nonprofit groups. Earlier in her career, she founded Propulsion Strategies, LLC, serving as a political communications consultant for local, state, and national campaigns—including efforts involving cabinet secretaries and members of Congress.

Academic Credentials

Pramme earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Arizona State University, completing a Master of Science in Technical and Scientific Communication in 2018 with a 4.0 GPA and membership in The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Mass Communications from ASU, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Kemper Hall—built in 1861 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places—remains a cornerstone of Kenosha’s cultural identity. Under Pramme’s leadership, the Kemper Center hopes to expand its profile as a regional arts and events destination while safeguarding the historic campus for future generations.

Pramme’s immediate focus includes preparations for the Christmas at Kemper festivities, which feature decorated historic mansions, live performances, and community events throughout the holiday season.

The organization’s long-term plans include enhancing accessibility, expanding its art exhibits, and securing additional funding for historic-preservation projects.

Kemper Center operates year-round as a nonprofit devoted to arts, education, and cultural programming, hosting weddings, corporate gatherings, art shows, and historic tours along Kenosha’s scenic lakefront.
