KENOSHA, Wis. — Kenosha County Board Supervisor Andres Gama (D) announced Monday that he will not seek another term, ending what many observers describe as a quiet tenure marked more by ideology than accomplishment.
Gama, who was first elected in 2022, has been one of the most outspoken far-left liberals on the County Board and a strong ally of the Kenosha County Democratic Party. In his Facebook announcement, he thanked the party and WI Progress, a far-left organization that recruits and trains liberal candidates across Wisconsin, for helping launch his political career. He also said he intends to help find another Democrat to run for his seat.
Despite his strong rhetoric about “progressive values,” Gama has accomplished little during his time on the board. The only major initiative he attempted to push was a controversial 32-hour work week for full-time county employees, which would have amounted to a large pay raise for government workers without additional productivity. The proposal was met with immediate backlash — not only from taxpayers and conservatives, but from members of his own party. Gama ultimately backed down before the idea ever came up for a vote.
Beyond that failed effort, Gama has largely stayed on the sidelines, rarely sponsoring major legislation or taking the lead on county issues. His upcoming departure removes one of the board’s most consistently left-wing voices.
The Kenosha County Board remains dominated by Democrats, and local business owner and Native American community leader Duane O’Keefe has already announced plans to run for the seat.
While Gama says he plans to stay active in politics, his time on the board will likely be remembered more for his far-left affiliations than for any concrete achievements.

He can take Kirby with him, she’s f*cking stupid.
She’s tied into the satanic Bradford church. Kevin, there is a story there for sure…
While modern young women of the Kirby types are mentally damaged and limited due to their birth control pill-shrunken frontaltemporal cortexes and/or femme/beta culturally conditioned mental limits are easily micro-triggered to veer into the moron-imbecile lanes of non-rational intelligence and asinine behavior, it’s not necessary to bring religion into the picture, regardless of type or denomination. Sticking to the modern Western female’s intelligence gaps and its unfitness for leadership roles requiring logical/rational capacity is fully sufficient.
And you claim everyone else is mentally-ill… wtf
What?!?!
It does matter. I don’t want a Satanist making decisions for my city.
… on your way out.
Thanks for Playing !
He won’t be missed!
You know what would be a great story? Who the county board members are, and what qualifies them to comment & approve/make changes to a multi-million dollar budget.
I watched the budget hearings and the only person who seemed to have a clue was Geertsen.
… what makes a furniture salesman with a mile-long CCAP qualified to alter the District Attorney’s budget?
The county board chair person decides who goes on which committee. This years assignments are way off. Gentz actually does a great job and takes his role as supervisor and Finance Committee chair seriously. As far as CCAP goes, he has a few divorces and he has had to evict some people. Nothing criminal so not sure what you are getting at…
I’m sure the Disneyland characters take their role seriously, too, but the park doesn’t have them making decision that impact one of the most critical departments in the organization.
It’s no different than an eye doctor making decisions for public works— at least Nordigan knew what was what. Grady might be great for human services, but let the guys who understand public works make those decisions.
Getz’ political bias came through loud and clear last night, and for that- along with several other reasons, he should be voted out this spring.
No incumbents in 2026. Not a one.
He also seems to have some financial issues— at least one foreclosure filed.
Is that a bankruptcy I believe and last I checked you as a furniture salesman. In charge of the finance committee is rich
EXACTLY.
The desire to always think of the safety of the residents of the community and being fiscally responsible to their constituents.
After that the homework necessary to understand the issues that are brought before them and search out the possible solutions to them.
There are classes in government available through the state on laws pertaining to local government processes and the things they are and are not allowed to do.
Yes these people need to know what they are doing but more importantly it’s up to us voters to ask these questions of the candidates that you are voting on to see if “you” feel they are qualified in this regard.
It not just about rhetoric and hyperbole. It’s about truth and character. And ability to think things through
Is that You ??
Conservatives must stop referring to the democrat party as the “democratic” party.
This is terrible.
They pulled a fast one when they titled it that …. and this just assists them in the scheme further.
Huh?
Speaking of left-wing lunatics, whatever happened to Sgt. Hard ?
Just let him drift off into obscurity.
He was a prick in high school…. Just saying
He’s got other projects to screw up.
This is why those in western Kenosha county want to separate. The city is doomed by democrats
