PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. — Kenneth S. Grandow, 73, of Kenosha, was in court and charged today after deputies say he threatened to kill two Kenosha County Sheriff’s deputies during and after an OWI investigation Wednesday night. Grandow, who was also cited for OWI–First Offense, appeared for his initial appearance where Supplemental Court Commissioner Tracy Braun set his bail at $5,000 cash. He is due back in court on December 18 for a preliminary hearing.

What the hell? Kenny was always the nicest guy you could meet. At his age, maybe a mental decline of some sort is going on.
Alcohol doesn’t catch up with everyone who uses it but it
does with many – and you never know who it will be.
Weed is probably slightly worse ….
Old man beer courage. He can barely pee.
Are threats to kill LEOs not taken seriously? The report says he had a loaded .22 in his car. Was he known to spout BS when drunk, so the deputies discounted his repeated threats? Another poster says this stuff isn’t normal for Grandow so it doesn’t sound like he was regularly threatening people. A bail of $5000 shows that Braun took his OWI and threats more seriously than many other drunk drivers who get lower bail, but I’d think his threats would be probable cause to hold him.
He was the victim of his own son stealing from him a year or so ago. Maybe there is dementia or something going on?
